The Postgraduate Program in Veterinary Sciences (PPGCVET) at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) is a distinguished academic initiative that offers both master's and doctoral degrees in Veterinary Sciencess.   1. 1971: Establishment of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
  2. 1973: Integration of the Faculty into the University of Uberlândia.
  3. 1974: Relocation of the Faculty to Uberlândia.
  4. 1978: Federalization of the University, leading to the creation of
  5. 1999: Approval of the Master's program by CAPES.
  6. 2000: Commencement of the first Master's cohort.
  7. 2011: Approval of the Doctoral program by CAPES.
  8. 2012: Inauguration of the first Doctoral cohort.

 

Program Ranking: In 2022 the Program received a score of 5 from CAPES.

About the Program: The Academic Master’s Program in Veterinary Sciencess at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) is a graduate-level course designed to train qualified professionals for scientific, technological, and educational advancement in Veterinary Sciencess. Established in 2000 and evaluated by CAPES with a consistent rating of excellence, the program emphasizes research, innovation, and the application of scientific knowledge to improve animal health, production, and public health.

Objectives: The main objectives of the program are:

  • To train professionals capable of conducting high-quality scientific research in the field of Veterinary Sciencess.
  • To foster the development of innovative technologies and methodologies that contribute to the advancement of animal health, production, and public health.
  • To prepare graduates for teaching roles in higher education institutions, equipping them with solid pedagogical and scientific foundations.
